Mabel

JRT cross

Mabel arrived with us just before Christmas as an unclaimed stray. This adorable little JRT cross is an older lady bless her. To abandon any dog is sad but to abandon a senior dog is just heartless.

Mabel is the dinkiest little girl and could possibly be crossed with a chihuahua. We can’t put an exact age to her but she’s an older lady.

Mabel is happiest sat on someone’s lap or a sofa in front of the fire, she might not have had the best life to date but from now on she demands home comforts!!!

Mabel is the sweetest most loving little girl, she will follow you around like a shadow or will happily pop in your coat and be carried around! We don’t think she’s been walked much but does enjoy a little toddle up the road…….but not in the rain!

Mabel can be quite timid when you first meet her but she soon warms to new people. She would possibly suit a retired couple with a quieter home. She wouldn’t suit a busy home with young children.

She is currently in foster with a good few other dogs who she happily lives alongside. She has not met cats but we think she could live with a confident cat.

Mabel is looking for a retirement home, somewhere where she’ll be loved and cared for just as she deserves
